Last week, 2U, Inc. Co-Founder and CEO Chip Paucek participated on a GSV Virtual Summit Series panel to discuss the powerful impact of the Black Lives Matter movement, white allyship, and the required leadership to enact necessary change.
Chip was joined by several other white leaders who contributed their reflections and insights to this discussion, including Managing Partner at Emerson Collective and former Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, President, Davidson College Carol Quillen, and Founder and Chair of PSP Partners and former US Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker.
Throughout the conversation, the leaders all spoke about their proactive journeys in acknowledging the embeddedness of racist structures and tendencies. They also shared their perspectives on defining, understanding, and practicing white allyship, how to fully and consistently embrace anti-racist postures in their organizations, and more.
